DSHS has processed rates for March that include the $29 ppd add-on for COVID-19 related enhanced FMAP.  You should start seeing this higher rate in your RAs starting this Friday.  DSHS is also in communication with CMS in regards to whether or not they can extend this enhanced FMAP back to February 1, 2020.  If they receive confirmation that they can go back to February 1, 2020, you will not need to do anything.  They will process a mass adjustment.  That money will be included in the next RA you are issued after the adjustment is processed.

Currently you should be billing at your normal rate plus the $29 add-on.  To see what that would be, the Office of Rates Management has posted a list of current rates that include the $29 add-on.  To view the list please visit the Office of Rates Management website here – https://www.dshs.wa.gov/altsa/management-services-division/nursing-facility-rates-and-reports.  Once on this website, under the Rates section, use the list labeled “3/1/20, Current as of 3/30/20.”
