LeadingAge has updated the LeadingAge COVID-19 Survey Tool and Checklist to reflect recent changes to the CMS Infection Control Survey Tool. Changes include new sections on reporting requirements (CDC reporting and reporting to residents, representatives, and families), as well as a few new tips based on CMS’s report out on the National Nursing Homes call this past Wednesday for key issues being cited on infection control surveys. The LeadingAge tool also includes the newly-updated CMS tool, as the checklist is meant to be supplemental to this tool. CMS recommends that providers use the updated tool for self-assessments going forward.
