Enhanced Federal Match for HCBS Medicaid
As part of the American Rescue Plan Act, states will see a 10% increase to the federal match for Medicaid spending for HCBS programs. CMS recently published guidance for states on the use of these funds. LeadingAge has put together a summary of this guidance.
Last Wednesday, May 12th, The State of Washington requested feedback, due on Friday May 14th, on ways to spend these funds, as well as other federal relief funds, from a select group of stakeholders. LeadingAge Washington was part of this group. We put together a list of proposals that you can find here.
We look forward to working with the State as well as other stakeholders to ensure that these funds are utilized to support all providers and their clients and will provide updates as this work moves forward.
