Wesley Homes has a unique education role available.

Serve as the full-time Wesley U (as in “University) Education Manager, based at the Des Moines campus of Wesley. Working with advisory, resident committee members to provide educational programs through lectures and/or onsite activities. Unlike a resident engagement program which focus on a single senior living location/campus, The Wesley U Education manager supports an overarching program developed to share with residents at all 4 Wesley campuses ( Des Moines, Auburn, Bonney Lake and Puyallup) and neighboring communities. The program primarily uses zoom technology or a combination of zoom/onsite presentations to bring outstanding speakers, topics and presentations to engage the life-long learners within the Wesley adult living facilities.

The Wesley U Education Manager base requirements for the position are two years of direct senior population experience and one year of supervision and management experience. The successful candidate fulfills the roles as a working Manager. Is hands-on with the program with demonstrated proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Office, Excel, databases and the web. Comfortable with presentations, the Wesley U Education Manager must be a highly functioning communicator: demonstrate excellent writing abilities, able to speak with internal groups, make new contacts and facilitate group meetings. Recognizes the needs of a senior population and able to create educational presentations for a discriminating population who enjoy sophisticated programming. The successful manager enjoys education, has a wide range of interests and enjoys sharing great programming with residents.
