We are actively seeking a Staff Development Nurse (LPN) to join our amazing team.

Desire and ability to effectively train and educate all nursing assistants and other staff as applicable
Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
Excellent nursing clinical skills & knowledge of the skilled nursing process
Superior problem solving skills.
Skilled in interpersonal relationships
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant
Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the long term care and transitional care facility
Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards residents
Participate with weekend call

Key job responsibilities will include:

Plan, develop, direct, conduct, evaluate, and coordinate staff training, education, in service, and orientation
Maintain staff training and in service records.
Maintain online training records, upload customized training materials and track compliance.
Schedule online or in person training sessions for all staff to ensure that they remain current on new policies, changes in procedures, etc.
Develop, select, maintain, implement and follow the facility yearly and monthly calendars which reflects ongoing educational and in-service training in all topics for all departments required by
Interview and hire nursing assistants. Assign a peer mentor to their orientation period.
Orient newly assigned staff personnel to their duties and understanding of the facility policies and procedures as they relate to nursing policies and their job descriptions/duties.
Complete initial and at least annual competencies for all nursing assistants with assistance from charge nurses.
Supervise nursing assistants with input and assistance from charge nurses.
Recruit, interview, and select students for Kline Galland Academy Nursing Assistant Classes
Maintain all records and updated requirements of Kline Galland Academy
Teach nursing assistant training classes including clinical rotations at Kline Galland Home
