In the 11 years as Administrator of Issaquah Nursing and Rehabilitation Center she and her team were recognized with multiple regional and national awards, including the NADONA/LTC Antibiotic Stewardship Best Practices National Program Award.

Personal Achievements Include NADONA/LTC DNS of the Year-NW Region, WHCA SNF Administrator of the Year-2012 and 2017, 2016 NADONA/LTC National Nursing Administrator of the Year, 2012 North American Health Care Inc. Misty joined EmpRes Healthcare in 2016 where she currently serves as the Chief Nursing Officer. She comes with over 16 years of healthcare experience in the LTC industry. She began her career as a CNA before becoming an NP. Her career journey has taken her through many different positions throughout long term care, that has given her a great passion for mentoring and inspiring others in the industry. Misty holds a Bachelor degree in Nursing from the University of Wyoming, and in 2020 received her Master’s Degree in Nursing, and becoming board certified as an Acute Care Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner (APRN) through the University of Northern Colorado.
