HUD released the Income Limits for Fiscal Year (FY) 2022. The Income Limits are used to define the terms “very low-income,” “low income” and “extremely low-income” by geographic area for FY2022, effective April 18, 2022. The Income Limits were slightly delayed this year. HUD also posted the Multifamily Tax Subsidy Projects (MTSP) Income Limits for FY2022, effective April 18, and encourage tax credit properties not to raise rents because of ongoing financial hardships among assisted residents.
