Our CEO is retiring and the Riverview Board of Directors is currently seeking an experienced healthcare leader to carry out our vision, mission and the values of our not-for profit organization.

History

Riverview opened in 1959 to serve the needs of aging rural people who had nowhere to go after retiring from farming. It opened the first assisted living facility in Spokane and is now one of four continuing care retirement communities in the city, expanding to a 32-acre campus. Located along the beautiful Spokane River, Riverview offers independent, assisted, group home and memory care services. Riverview Retirement Community was founded by area Lutheran congregations and continues to be affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. We are dedicated to serving residents of all faiths.

Requirements:

*Education Undergraduate degree in a field directly or indirectly related to executive business management or health care administration (advanced degree preferred) *Licensure Washington Administrator License for Assisted Living (Washington Administrator License for Skilled Nursing Facility preferred but not required). *Experience Five years of senior management in senior housing or healthcare (Continuing Care Retirement Community experience preferred but not required) *Background Check – A successful result from an Exclusion Search from the Office of Inspector General is required as well as an acceptable background check.
*Spiritual Holding personal spiritual values that are consistent with providing leadership in building a culture of Christ-centered service delivery in a faith-based environment.

Responsibilities:

The President & CEO is responsible for providing proactive leadership and oversight with accountability over 10 key areas and building a team of leaders that supports these areas.

1. Leadership in cultivating strong relationships with individuals and groups.
2. Leadership in communicating with effectiveness.
3. Leadership in enhancing Riverview culture in every interaction with others.
4. Leadership in identifying strategic opportunities and then prioritizing and executing them.
5. Leadership in managing financial resources.
6. Leadership in building Riverview brand by overseeing effective programs.
7. Leadership in leveraging key resources with effective and efficient management.
8. Leadership in development awareness of our industry.
9. Leadership in optimizing various risks that could threaten the attainment of mission.
10. Leadership in solving difficult issues by bring appropriate resources to collaborate.
