Join our team of maintenance technicians at Franke Tobey Jones, a CCRC (continuing care retirement community) in Tacoma!

Job Details: Our Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance, repair, remodeling and construction duties utilizing working knowledge of several related skill fields such as electrical, plumbing, carpentry, heating and cooling , and painting. If you have basic knowledge in any of these fields, we will train you to succeed. This position performs work in the maintenance, repair, remodeling, and alteration of buildings, grounds, facilities, and equipment. Working with the building services team, the Maintenance Technician provides maintenance services that assure regulatory compliance and the smooth operation of building systems.

Required Qualifications:

2+ years of general work experience preferred and/or a passion to develop new skillsets.
Must pass a criminal background screen, drug/alcohol screen (including marijuana), and a functional assessment (abbreviated physical exam) for this position
Valid driver’s license required
High school diploma required
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in building and equipment maintenance, construction or repair work with demonstrated knowledge and skill in plumbing, carpentry, electrical/mechanical systems.
Trade school or technical college graduate in related field plus additional courses in air conditioning, heaters, and boiler operation a definite plus.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to handle multiple priorities; ability to problem solve; ability to plan and direct for best use of company resources; and ability to demonstrate and teach various maintenance duties to other maintenance employees. Requires effective communication skills required to communicate information verbally and in writing, understand and explain, in English.

Hours: Maintenance Mechanic, working Sunday – Thursday, 10:30am-7:00pm.
