An exciting opportunity has opened up for an Administrator to oversee the operations of a non-profit, with a long history of serving Japanese American seniors. Nikkei Manor Assisted Living, a Keiro Northwest Organization, based in the International District of Seattle, provides a warm and caring environment for our wonderful residents. With outstanding Japanese food served daily, enrichment activities to engage the hearts and minds, and a strong team of nurturing care staff, Nikkei Manor/Keiro encourages residents to live meaningful and purposeful lives as they age. In addition, our Kokoro Kai adult day program opens Nikkei Manor/Keiro to the community so that elders living at home can enjoy a day program of lively activities, intergenerational programming, outings to local events, and a meal with familiar faces.
Our Ideal Candidate will:
• Have three (3) years’ prior experience managing high-quality senior living communities with demonstrated success in meeting financial goals specific to retirement living, assisted living or related fields such as hospitality
• Bachelor’s degree in health-related, business, or gerontology field
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, team members, vendors and the general public
• Meet the Administrator qualifications listed under WAC 388-78A
• Provide values-based leadership by example; demonstrating credibility, discipline, follow-through, consistency, and strong team orientation
• Experience with financial reporting and managing budgets
• Must have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Relationship to the local Japanese American community preferred
• Ability to read/speak/write Japanese preferred
• Must be self-motivated
• Must be able to relate to residents and staff of diverse backgrounds
• Must be able to use tactful, diplomatic communication techniques in potentially sensitive or emotional situation
• Must be able to work flexible hours
• Demonstrates an appreciation of the heritage, values and wisdom of the residents and an understanding of the aging process

Salary Range: $110,000 to $130,000/annually
