LeadingAge Washington’s Assisted Living Certified Leadership & Management Training

LeadingAge Washington is announcing the return of our Assisted Living Certified Leadership & Management In-Person Program. This 30-hour training is designed for both new and experienced Assisted Living Directors, as well as individuals seeking to expand their knowledge in the Assisted Living profession. This comprehensive program is structured to provide administrators with the necessary knowledge and tools for success. Importantly, it meets the requirements for administrator training outlined in WAC 388-78A-2520.

Experienced presenters will share their knowledge across key areas, including nursing, survey readiness, state regulations, complaint investigations, budgeting, marketing, HR, and more.

All classes will be held in person to provide an immersive learning experience, fostering teamwork for networking and collaborative problem-solving. Hotel Accommodations

Facilitator: Sheila Beesley-Smith, BSN, RN
Sheila was driven into nursing as a mission to make a difference in the lives of patients. After the loss of her beloved son William to Sudden Infant Death Syndrome she left her career in the non-profit poverty industry to become a nurse. She graduated from Boise State University. Sheila has been a professional nurse for over 29 years, 22 of those years spent specializing in Senior Living & Quality Assurance in the Assisted Living Setting. She also spent over 19 years as a Regional Nurse Consultant specializing in regulatory compliance in Washington, Idaho, Montana & Oregon. She has worked in the assisted living industry in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana. Currently she is a mandated State Consultant for both Oregon and Idaho approved through Health and Welfare. She recently graduated Suma Cum Laude from University of Phoenix with her bachelor’s degree in nursing.  In 2021 she founded her own Assisted Living RN Consultant company with her beloved Daughter, Danielle. She lives in Nampa, Idaho and is an avid runner who has completed 9 marathons including the Boston Marathon where she was injured during the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. She loves gardening and spending time with her family & three pets.
