New RAD for PRAC Notice and NSPIRE Standards

New RAD for PRAC Notice and NSPIRE Standards

New RAD COVID-19 Notice: HUD permits alternates to resident meetings for RAD, hosts webinar: In a Notice issued late on Friday, HUD is allowing alternatives to group resident meetings required for the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD). For PHAs or Owners undergoing a RAD conversion, the Notice outlines criteria for any alternative approaches to resident engagement, including small group, individual resident, or virtual meetings. The authorizations are available to owners through the end of the national emergency, or through the end of the calendar year, whichever is later. More information about the notice is available here.

HUD NSPIRE Standards in one document: On recent calls hosted by LeadingAge, some of you asked HUD REAC staff if the new NSPIRE demonstration standards could be published in one document for easier distribution to property staff. Last night, HUD sent LeadingAge the document with the new standards; it is available here. HUD plans to implement the new standards and inspection protocol for the broader portfolio as soon as late 2021. Currently, HUD is still accepting properties in the NSPIRE demonstration program, as well as feedback on the new standards. More information available here.
