LeadingAge WA Letter to State Leaders Asking to Reopen Pools in LTC

LeadingAge Washington sent a letter to Governor Inslee, Secretary John Weisman, and other state leaders requesting to reopen pools in long term care communities. Understanding that residents are eager to participate in therapeutic and recreational activities in swimming pools, we will continue to advocate until there is a change. You can find the full letter here.

LeadingAge Washington members have stepped up with these advocacy efforts sending a total of 850 messages to state leaders. Thank you to all who sent messages, your voice matters and we are being heard. We have been informed an update in the guidance may be in progress and we expect an official response from DOH or the Governor’s office soon.  We will update you as soon as possible once we do.
