Sentinel Network – Workforce Survey

What are your workforce experiences and concerns? How has the COVID-19 pandemic affected your organization and what challenges are you facing now compared to six months ago?  Make your health care workforce needs known to policymakers, planners, and educators.

Beginning Monday, October 5, 2020, take 10 – 15 minutes to share your experiences at: www.wa.sentinelnetwork.org/join. Before October 5th, use this link to register and we’ll contact you when the questionnaire is active.

About the Sentinel Network

Since 2016, a state-led consortium has reached out at regular intervals to Washington health care employers. The Sentinel Network is a tool to understand employers’ workforce needs – such as challenges related to recruitment, retention and needed skills – and make that information available to educators and policy makers so they can take action right away.

The Sentinel Network works for you

In 2019, the Washington State Legislature provided ongoing funding for the Sentinel Network, so we know policy makers are paying attention to this important tool and using the information provided by you and your colleagues.

Since launching the Sentinel Network, healthcare providers have identified common occupational skills they need—but can’t always get. Sentinels have also provided feedback on changing healthcare roles, helping Washington’s education and training programs retool to reflect these changes. Information provided in April 2020 helped the state formulate regulatory changes needed to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Check the findings dashboard, policy briefs and COVID-19 findings pages to view what Sentinels have said to-date.

Your continued participation is important

If you have submitted your information to the Sentinel Network in the past, THANK YOU! Your continued participation is critical to addressing ongoing and changing workforce needs in the state, so please provide your updated information today.

Of key concern is how things have changed since we were last in contact with you in April, at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. How has your organization adapted and what support do you need?

Your feedback is confidential
Details you provide, including specific recruitment challenges, are kept confidential so you’re able to share freely and securely.

Help keep Washington’s healthcare industry—and your organization—on the leading edge. Become a Sentinel today! www.wa.sentinelnetwork.org/join

Washington’s Sentinel Network is a collaboration of the state’s Workforce Board and the University of Washington’s Center for Health Workforce Studies and a program of Washington’s Health Workforce Council.
