Facilities with Confirmed or Suspected COVID-19 Cases

DSHS has been periodically sending us a list of all facilities with either a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19.  The most recent list came after DSHS started their online survey for facilities to report whether they still currently have COVID confirmed or suspected residents in their building.  Previously DSHS had been reporting a cumulative total as facilities were not being removed due to reporting difficulties.  Currently, there are 73 adult family homes, 73 assisted livings, and 73 nursing homes that have either a confirmed or suspected case in the state.

We’d like to thank everyone that has completed the online survey with DSHS so that we have an accurate count of COVID cases in the state.  If you have not already completed it, please make sure that you do.  Accurate data helps the State make well thought out decisions.

One thing to note, below is the count of total positive cases in each listed county from May 3-17.

Please note how this graph changes when you factor for population of each county.

Here are these two graphs combined so you can see the difference.

This data is reported from the Department of Health.

Below you can find the totals for King, Snohomish and Pierce Counties as reported on their respective public health websites.

As you can see, while most positive cases are not in long-term care facilities, the majority of deaths due to COVID-19 are.
