Washington’s Paid Family and Medical Leave Act (PFML) has caused many employers to rethink how they manage family, medical, and disability-related leaves of absence.  Using real life scenarios, we will explore the PFML’s  impact on the administration of other federal and state leave laws, paid time off, paid parental leave, and short-term disability benefits.  We will answer frequently asked questions arising from the Washington Employment Security Department’s initial implementation efforts, and share best practices for managing employees’ total time on leave.
