On Wednesday we notified you of an opportunity to contract with DSHS if able and willing to establish COVID+ wings, units or access to a facility under certain described conditions.  We subsequently submitted a number of questions to DSHS in order to clarify these requirements and voice concern about the need to provide separate HVAC systems in wings or units used for COVID+ residents.  You can find these questions along with their responses in this document  While all operating conditions under the contract may not be clear, for example are transfers voluntary or involuntary and under what circumstances, we do expect DSHS to issue a Dear Provider letter shortly. When we obtain the revised contract, it will no longer require separate HVAC systems and will allow telehealth for medical services, we will share it with you.
