HUD will be implementing shortened time frames between the inspection notification and the inspection date. The purpose of the shortened timeline is to prevent owners from making last minute repairs prior to the inspections. This change is only the beginning of the reform on the inspection process. HUD is hosting a number of listening sessions to help establish ways to improve the process based on stakeholder feedback. One of these sessions will be held in Seattle on March 28th.
