Washington State Revenue Forecast

The Washington Revenue Forecast Council announced today that it is now projecting a revenue shortfall of – $8.8 billion through 2023.  Earlier projections had pegged the shortfall at – $7 billion.  Governor Inslee has announced the he will cancel the July 1 scheduled pay raises for more than 5,500 higher paid state workers and impose unpaid furlough days for most other employees starting June 28th.
