Enhanced FMAP Advocacy

Enhanced FMAP Advocacy

The State has not reached a decision to continue the Enhanced FMAP rate add-ons and retainer payments that were made available through the CARES Act. In the middle of a pandemic, now is not the time for the state to be taking money away from providers, especially money that was designated by Congress for providers to use to purchase needed supplies and cover staffing needed to fight this virus.  Costs to providers have significantly increased due to PPE, staffing, and added and prolonged infection control measures.

We and WHCA and the Adult Family Home Council are urging the Governor’s office and the Legislature to continue distributing the enhanced FMAP funds to providers so that you can continue to provide the level of service and safety your clients and residents deserve. You can find our letter to the Governor and agencies here

Please join us in advocating for the rate add-ons and retainer payments to be continued.  You can call the legislative hotline at 1-800-562-6000 and ask them to continue passing the enhanced FMAP funds along to providers. You can find other ways to contact your legislator here.
