Tamara Konetzka, Professor of Health Sciences at the University of Chicago, will appear on the LeadingAge Coronavirus Update call.  Her professional focus is nursing home quality; she will discuss recent research regarding COVID cases and deaths in nursing homes.  Dr. Konetzka testified before the Senate Aging Committee in late May, telling Senators that she found “no meaningful relationship between nursing home quality and the probability of at least one COVID case or death.” She will also talk about how she and other researchers are thinking about studying the process of rolling out vaccines in nursing homes and the impact of vaccine protection on aspects of nursing home operations and quality.
