CR-105 Filed – Board of Nursing Home Administrators – AIDS Education

The Board of Nursing Home Administrators has filed a CR-105 with the Office of the Code Reviser to repeal WAC 246-843-162 requiring applicants for nursing home administrators to provide proof that they have obtained seven hours of AIDS education.  This rule was based on legislation that required AIDS education of all health professionals prior to licensure.  That law was repealed by a bill introduced in the 2020 legislative session.

The CR-105 link is attached below for your review.  The Department is taking comments until March 8, 2021.  If no objections are received by that date, the repeal of this rule will go into effect at that time.

Comments should be directed to https://fortress.wa.gov/doh/policyreview.
