Long Term Care Safe Start Plan Update

Long Term Care Safe Start Plan Update

Monday January 11th, Residential Care Services sent out an amended Dear Provider Letter, stating Effective Monday, January 11, 2021, the Governor’s Healthy Washington – Roadmap to Recovery goes into effect. This roadmap outlines a regional recovery approach with every region beginning in Phase 1.

While this new roadmap effects many people and places in Washington State, under Governor’s Proclamation 20-66, Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities must continue to operate under the Safe Start for Long-Term Care Plan.

It was hoped that by today, the revised Safe Start Plan would have been approved for release.  However, the new plan is still under review at the Governor’s office.  Therefore, until further notice, please continue relying on the August Safe Start Plan.
