Are you familiar with The Eden Alternative?  They are bringing Creating a Culture of Person-Directed Dementia Care Online Training through a CMP grant that they were recently awarded. Would you or someone on your team be interested?

The Eden Alternative was awarded a CMP Grant for an innovative person-directed dementia education and coaching grant project in WA state specifically for SNFs.  Please take a moment to review the Project Details. If you are interested in participating in this proposed grant project, please contact Kathy Hagen, Eden Alternative Project Administrator, at khagen@edenalt.org

About the Project: This fully funded project will take place over two years (March 2021 into 2022). It combines dementia and leadership training, as well as personalized coaching and consulting.  You will receive the tools needed to drive sustainable person-directed practices that can assist you in reducing antipsychotic use and teach your team members to:

  • Build on strengths, rather than deficits
  • Respond more effectively to depressive symptoms and other psycho-social concerns
  • Develop closer relationships with residents which ultimately helps reduce re-hospitalizations, identify pain, and reduce the incidence of elder abuse and neglect.

Space in this project is limited to only 30 nursing homes, so reserve your spot now!  If you are interested in participating in this grant project, please contact Kathy Hagen, Eden Alternative Project Administrator, at khagen@edenalt.org  ASAP – Feel free to pass it on to your colleagues!
