The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is holding a webinar February 11, “The Quality of Care in Nursing Homes: Public Webinar #2.”

Hosted by NASEM’s Committee on the Quality of Care in Nursing Homes, the discussion will explore a range of issues related to the quality of care in nursing homes and will feature resident, family, consumer and practitioner perspectives.

The committee was created to develop a set of findings and recommendations to delineate a framework and general principles for improving the quality of care in today’s nursing homes, delivering high quality care in a consistent manner, and ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff in nursing homes. The committee is examining how our nation delivers, regulates, finances and measures quality of nursing home care, including the long-standing challenges brought to light by the COVID-19 pandemic.
