NHSN Long-term Care Updates for Friday February 5, 2021 * Training Details

  • COVID-19 Point of Care Test Reporting Tool
  • COVID-19 Resident Impact and Facility Capacity Pathway
  • New COVID-19 Therapeutics Module
  • Weekly COVID-19 Vaccination Data Modules

Immediate Action Requested: Two updates require retrospective data to be entered back to Monday February 1, 2021. The first is the vaccination status for residents newly positive for SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) through viral testing (specifically included in the Positive Tests count from Monday forward). This new question is in the Resident Impact and Facility Capacity pathway. Secondly, please enter data for the new pathway, Therapeutics, starting with therapeutics administered Monday February 1, 2021 and forward.

Revised forms, form instructions, and CSV templates are posted to the LTCF COVID-19 Module website. Please visit the web-site often to register for upcoming training opportunities over the next few weeks.

For questions about any of these updates, please send an e-mail to the NHSN Helpdesk at NHSN@cdc.gov with the subject line identifying the topic, such as “POC Testing”, “LTCF COVID-19”, or “Long-term Care COVID Vaccination.”
