NICHE January CMP Grant Opportunity

NICHE January CMP Grant Opportunity

Nursing homes have another opportunity to apply to participate in the Nurses Improving Care for Healthsystem Elders (NICHE) Washington State Civil Monetary Penalty (CMP) project. The NICHE Program will provide nurses and certified nursing assistants in 30 nursing homes in Washington State with specialized education and clinical leadership development training to implement evidence-based clinical practices to improve the care of older adults. You can read more about the grant here.

Grant-participating nursing homes receive three years of NICHE membership, including access to NICHE’s extensive catalog of educational and practice change resources and implementation support, at no cost.  In July 2020, 10 nursing homes began NICHE membership through the grant. On January 19, 2021, NICHE will launch a second cohort of up to 20 nursing home teams.

Please register for an informational webinar on Thursday, December 3, 2020 from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. PT.

If you determine that you and your team are ready to commit to participating in the three-year project, please use the copy of the grant application to collect all the necessary data and then enter the data in the NICHE CMP Grant Online Application no later than December 18, 2020. NICHE will notify Directors of Nursing and Administrators of nursing homes selected to participate by December 22, 2020.

If you have any questions about the project or the application process, please contact NICHE Support at support@nicheprogram.org or 212-998-5596.
