New Resources for Affordable Housing Providers

New Resources for Affordable Housing Providers

This week, two comprehensive sets of resources became available, both based on LeadingAge Director of Housing Operations and Policy Juliana Bilowich’s deep understanding of COVID’s impact on affordable housing providers, and both highlighting amazing LeadingAge members.

First, new on the Learning Hub: COVID and Affordable Housing. This session provides targeted information on CDC infection prevention recommendations for HUD-assisted senior housing settings, HUD and Fair Housing regulatory compliance during COVID-19, and strategies for property staff and resident communications during a pandemic. Access this session on the Learning Hub

Second, from the Johns Hopkins University COVID-19 Training Initiative, two free courses, one designed for assisted living and one for senior housing communities, on COVID-19 response strategies. These courses provide a central platform for assisted living administrators and senior housing providers to learn how to develop and implement a comprehensive health emergency response. The self-paced courses consist of lectures, guest interviews, reading resources, and assignments for learners to acquire immediate takeaways to actively change their community’s policies and implement lessons from the assignments to keep residents and staff safe.
