As we continue to assess the staffing crisis across the state, we have updated our staffing survey to capture information that we feel is critical to help inform us as we continue to advocate for appropriate solutions. 

While we understand that some facilities are fully staffed and are able to admit and meet resident care needs, there are members that are experiencing staffing shortages and restricting admits.  The staffing crisis is attributable to many factors and likely a cumulative effect of an aging workforce nearing or at retirement, the exhaustion and frustration of fighting a relentless virus for the past 18 months, low wages, and a vaccine mandate.  The information you share will be used collectively, with specific facility identifiers protected
