VA Wants to Work with LeadingAge to Serve More Veterans in Adult Day Health Care

The LeadingAge Adult Day Member Network met with representatives from the Veterans Health Care Administration to discuss the current state of the Community Adult Day Health Care program. Before the pandemic, in 2019, the program served more than 10,000 veterans; today fewer than 5,000 are served. VA officials expressed an interest in working with LeadingAge to get the number of people served back up. They suggested that LeadingAge adult day providers and state partners meet with Veterans Integrated Service Networks to discuss how to link to the program and serve veterans.
