WA Cares Fund provider application is now open

WA Cares Fund provider application is now open

The WA Cares Fund is registering qualified providers to offer covered long-term services and supports to eligible beneficiaries. The application is now open. Beneficiaries statewide can begin applying for benefits on May 18, 2026, and receiving services on July 1, 2026.

Apply online

Becoming a provider is a three-step process. Interested providers will apply online, sign a contract with either DSHS or their local Area Agency on Aging and then receive an official registration from DSHS.

Interested providers can review the provider application detail document for your service to learn about the service definition, minimum qualifications and the documentation you need to apply. A copy of a sample contract is also available, as well as information on our maximum rates.

Those that are interested in providing in-home personal care, including family caregivers, can apply to become an individual provider with Consumer Direct Care Network of Washington or work with a home care agency that is registered with WA Cares.

Beginning January 2026, a pilot program will run in Lewis, Mason, Spokane and Thurston counties. Providers that serve these areas along with statewide providers will get priority in the application process and the chance to begin delivering services early. You can prepare now by reviewing qualifications and familiarizing yourself with the application documents.
