Summer-Ex: Healthcare Coalition Communications Exercise: June 17th, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

This June, the Northwest Healthcare Response Network is conducting a communications exercise.  This presents an opportunity for you to practice how you will communicate outside of your facility in the event of an emergency or disaster.  Communication should be part of your disaster preparedness plan.

This exercise takes place June 17th from 1:00pm-3:00pm.  If you sign up to participate, you will receive an alert from NWHRN that the exercise is beginning.  One the exercise begins, you will need to reach out to at least two contacts identified in your disaster plan via two different modes of communication.  Suggested modes of communication are phone, email, and text. If you have the capability, try testing ham radio, 800mhz radios, or satellite phone.  Once you have reached two contacts, you will need to complete the post-exercise survey no later than 5:00pm June 18th.
