LTSS Center is working on a project to understand the job design of home-based care aides working in home care and the elements of a positive workplace environment. The first phase of the project will be interviews with mid-level managers to get their perspective on the variation in job design for home care workers, such as recruitment, training, supervision, scope of work, etc. The second phase of the project will be interviews with home care aides at select organizations to understand their perceptions about job responsibilities and what they believe are the key attributes for a positive workplace environment.
