More Binax cards coming to nursing homes. In a major announcement about testing, the Administration included that the Departments of Health and Human Services and Defense have awarded a $255 million contract for the production and delivery of 50 million Abbott BinaxNOW cards to support continued screening in long-term care organizations. LeadingAge National is reaching out to determine whether the intention is to limit this to nursing homes or to also include other providers with CLIA waivers. We will update you when we know more.
