Nursing Homes that Reported All Infection Control Expenses in First PRF Report Can Correct Errors

HRSA said they will not be changing their policies regarding Nursing Home Infection Control payments and reporting. However,  they did say that a provider can request to have their first period report unlocked to correct errors that have been discovered in their reporting. This option was offered specifically related to an example of a nursing home  provider who erroneously reported all their infection control expenses in the first reporting period and now have no or limited expenses to report for the second report to offset the Nursing Home Infection Control payments received. This is when the senior advisor mentioned that errors can be corrected, as HRSA wants accurate reports.

Providers interested in correcting their first report so they can report their infection control expenses more appropriately in the second report can take the following steps to:

  • Contact the Provider Support Line (866-569-3522), tell them upon review you realize you have made an error in your first report and ask them to unlock your first report so you can correct the error.
  • The first person you talk to on the support line is unlikely to be able to assist with opening your report or approving this request so ask for your situation to be escalated.

REMINDER: Second Provider Relief Fund Report is due March 31 before 11:59 PM ET.
