Nursing Commission Files Proposed Rule Amendment to Specific Credential and License Requirements

The Nursing Care Quality Assurance Commission (commission) has filed a CR-102, Proposed Rule, for chapter WAC 246-840-365, 246-840-367, 246-840-533, and 246-840-930. The commission is proposing amendments to specific credential and license requirements for Nurse Technicians (NT), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), Registered Nurses (RN), and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioners (ARNP) in response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic and the critical demand for healthcare professionals.

You may provide your comments on the proposed rule in the following ways:

Submit written comments through February 18, 2022 using one of the following options:

Attend an online rules hearing on March 11, 2022 at 1:15 p.m.

Important Information for the Rules Hearing:

  • In response to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) public health emergency, the Commission will hold the rules hearing online during its March 11th virtual public meeting.
  • In order to give verbal testimony during the rules hearing, you will need to access the meeting using your computer, laptop, or device. Your computer, laptop, or device must have speakers, and microphone in order to give verbal testimony.
