Interim Guidance for Managing Healthcare Personnel with SARS-CoV-2 Infection or Exposure to SARS-CoV-2

Please make sure you have read and educated your staff on the new definition of a high-risk healthcare worker exposure in the Interim Guidance for Managing Healthcare Personnel with SARS-CoV-2 Infection or Exposure to SARS-CoV-2.  The new definition states that if a healthcare worker has been in close contact with a resident OR other healthcare worker who was not wearing source control, and the healthcare worker was NOT wearing an N-95 respirator, this is now considered a high risk exposure.
