The Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care (PALTC) Medicine introduced the Healing Together campaign recently to formally acknowledge the pain PALTC practitioners and team members have endured—and continue to experience—as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Ashley Swinson, MSW, LCSW, EAC, will present, “The PTSD of COVID: The Heart of the Matter,” and will address an issue that is a major concern for many—moral injury and burnout, which contributes to attrition and the staffing shortages we see today.
