SUMMER-EX 2021 – Emergency Communications Training Exercise: April 29th and June 17th

On April 29th and June 17th, the Northwest Healthcare Response Network (NWHRN) will host a two-part communications exercise for all long-term care facilities in western Washington state. Facilities will be able to fulfill their CMS exercise requirements for the year by participating in BOTH days of the exercise. Summer-Ex provides an exciting opportunity for long-term care facilities to utilize the WATrac system, test their emergency communications plans, and be better prepared for future emergencies.

Day 1 (April 29th) anytime between 1pm – 5pm

  1. Receive a WATrac alert
  2. Acknowledge the alert by signing into the WATrac system
  3. Updating your facility’s status in WATrac.
  • We estimate it should take facilities 10-30 minutes to complete the day 1 exercise
  • For information on registering with WATrac, please contact Scott Foster at scott.foster@nwhrn.org
