Health Experts Talk About the Johnson & Johnson Vaccine and More

Out of an abundance of caution, the CDC and FDA have recommended a pause in distribution of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. What does this mean for the safety of vaccines? How will it impact vaccine supply? What can we do to help ensure vaccine confidence during this pause?

Tomorrow, on the LeadingAge Coronavirus Update call, we’ll hear from Dr. Joshua Sharfstein, MD, former FDA health official and the current Vice Dean for Public Health Practice and Community Engagement at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. Dr. Sharfstein will discuss the status of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine and what it means for aging services providers. We will also be joined by Ashley Kirzinger from the Kaiser Family Foundation to talk about vaccination rates among frontline workers.

LeadingAge hosts COVID-19 update calls every week on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET. If you haven’t registered for these calls, you can do so here
