Adult Day Letter to the Governor

Adult Day Letter to the Governor

Last week Senator Ann Rivers, from the 18th legislative district, sent a letter to Governor Inslee asking that he continue to fully fund adult day programs. The letter is in response to the Office of Financial Management (OFM) directive that all state agencies identify savings and reduce their budgets by 15%.  One of the proposed budget savings items for the Aging and Long-Term Support Administration (ALTSA), DSHS, was the elimination of Medicaid funding to adult day health and adult day care programs.

In addition to Senator Rivers, other Senators and Representatives from the surrounding districts also signed on. You can find the full letter here.
