New Prioritization of PPE for LTC
Dept of Health has updated the Interim Prioritization Guidelines for Allocation of Personal Protective Equipment. These guidelines, dated April 13th elevate LTCFs without a (+) COVID case to the Tier #1 category and define LTCFs as including nursing facilities, assisted living facilities, adult family homes and supportive living providers. Previously, only LTCFs with a (+) COVID case were in Tier #1. This was one of the priorities LeadingAge WA requested of Vice Admiral Bono. We know that the amount of PPE coming into the state is not equal to the amount needed, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Please let us know if you continue having issues getting PPE from your local health jurisdiction.
