COVID-19 Related Funding

Our friends from LeadingAge NY have put together the attached listing of federal funding programs that are related to the pandemic.  This listing includes all of the federal programs that have been announced so far.  Please let us know if you have any questions. As a reminder, the CARES Act Provider Relief program is the program that does not have all of the reporting requirements finalized yet so please be cautious with this money as we don’t yet know how they will be expecting you to account for it.

In addition to the programs listed here the FFCRA included enhanced FMAP.  DSHS has been the agency responsible for distributing this enhanced FMAP for our state.  So far they have completed the first round of adjustments for SNFs going back to March 1, 2020 with a $29 ppd rate add-on.  This Friday, SNFs should see the second round of FMAP funding that includes a lump sum payment for the month of February.  This rate add-on will be continued through the last day of the quarter that the emergency declaration is lifted.

We got word last Friday the 10th that DSHS is extending the enhanced FMAP to include HCBS programs.  We are currently working with the department on how this enhanced FMAP will be implemented.  They have said that they should have details to share this week.  We will send those details out as we receive them.
