Activities (SNF) & Social Services Professional Network
7/16/20263pm

Skilled Nursing Activities & Social Services join forces to navigate the regulations of behavioral interventions. Since Activities and Social Services both work closely together on these issues, this is a great opportunity to hear from colleagues in other communities, brainstorm new ideas for partnerships, and discuss regulatory issues as a united group. Together, we strive to meet the needs of residents and their loved ones.

To participate in this member-only Zoom meeting, please contact VP of Clinical & Regulatory Services, Laura Hofmann at lhofmann@leadingagewa.org

PASRR Process Discussion with Beth Loska – July 16 Professional Network Meeting

The LeadingAge Washington Skilled Nursing Social Services & Activities Professional Network is pleased to welcome Beth Loska, MS Psych, MS HCA, on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. for an educational discussion focused on the Pre-Admission Screening and Resident Review (PASRR) process.

Beth serves as the PASRR/LTC Transition Coordination Manager within Strategic Design and Program Oversight (SDPO) and brings extensive expertise in PASRR requirements, Level II evaluations, transition coordination, and long-term care placement processes. As PASRR continues to be an area of significant operational and regulatory concern for skilled nursing facilities, this session will provide participants with an opportunity to better understand current requirements, common challenges, and available resources.

Topics may include:

  • PASRR Level I and Level II requirements
  • Common referral and screening challenges
  • Hospital discharge and PASRR considerations
  • Delays in Level II determinations and their impact on admissions
  • Coordination between hospitals, PASRR evaluators, and skilled nursing facilities
  • Best practices for compliance and documentation
  • Questions and answers from providers

To ensure the session addresses the issues most important to providers, participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance.

Please send your PASRR-related questions to Laura Hofmann no later than July 11, 2026. Questions received by that date will be provided to Beth in advance to allow for preparation and a more comprehensive discussion during the meeting.

We encourage Social Services professionals, admissions teams,  Directors of Nursing, Administrators, and others involved in resident placement and transition planning to attend this important conversation.

We look forward to an informative and practical discussion on navigating the PASRR process and supporting timely, appropriate resident placement.
