The UW Aging with Pride, HealthyGen Center works to enhance the resilience of older adults within a multigenerational context, promote social justice, and reduce health disparities of older adults in vulnerable and hard to reach communities, including LGBTQ elders, elders of color, veterans and other hard to reach populations. The UW School of Social Work and Aging with Pride, HealthGen Center has an outstanding opportunity for a Training Coordinator.

The Aging with Pride, HealthyGen Center Training Coordinator is responsible for developing, promoting, and implementing evidence-based assessments and trainings for providers across various settings and environments to ensure culturally relevant and inclusive care, particularly related to LGBTQ+ elders and the intersectional needs across underserved communities. This position is responsible for developing innovative recruitment and outreach strategies to reach those hardest to reach as well as developing and building relationships with partner organizations to create and strengthen community collaborations. In addition, they are responsible for supervising volunteers and students who are assisting with the outlined activities above.

Position Description:
• Develop training assessments, curriculum and facilitate training sessions; evaluate training programs and assess training results and progress; develop training best practices; conduct training-related assessments; assess and provide in-service staff trainings as needed.
• Collect evaluation data and keep updated records and create reports to ensure compliance with program regulations; ensure and monitor that all documentation is properly completed including, intake forms, assessments, evaluations, and other follow-up documentation as needed.
• Promote trainings and special events via social media, website, newsletters, flyers, and posters; create resources, such as brochures, for community consumption and use; ensure technology is used correctly for all operations, including video conferencing, trainings, and presentations.
• Create, maintain, and monitor timelines and calendars for programming and training; schedule and organize meetings.
• Assist with building positive relationships within the Center and with external parties and communities.
• Supervise and train volunteers and students.
• Meet Human Subjects requirements.
• Assist Center Manager with tracking expenditures/transactions.
• Perform other related duties as required and needed.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Health/Human Services, Social Work, Gerontology, Public Health, or related field
• Three or more years of professional work experience in developing and/or implementing training curriculum evidence-based trainings for health and human service providers.
• Work experience with outreach, engagement and training of elders, their families, and other vulnerable adults in underserved and resilient communities.
• Experience facilitating conversations and engagement about diversity, equity, and inclusion.
• Ability to develop and deliver public presentations to community groups, using multiple modalities, including in-person and virtual.
• Ability to assess and evaluate assessments and trainings.
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.
• Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task, particularly under high pressure deadlines.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with data management and/or evaluation systems.
• Social media experience.
• Experience with MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software to develop visually appealing and engaging presentation materials and delivery.
• Ability to travel across Washington State and nationally to provide trainings.
• May involve attendance at evening and weekend meetings or events.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum requirements.

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Human Services, Gerontology, or related field.
• Experience working with underserved older adults and their families, including LGBTQ+ elders, elders of color and other underserved populations.
• Experience working in a long-term care, health and human and social service settings with providers and older adults and their families and other underserved seniors and communities.
• Supervisory experience.
• Experience developing and implementing program assessments and evaluations to support continual quality assurance and development.
• Experience with data management systems, such as REDCap.
