GENERAL SUMMARY: The Nursing Center Quality/Compliance Manager monitors all policies, procedures and practices within skilled nursing for compliance with State and Federal regulations, helping to maintain a survey ready state at all times. This position is responsible to stay abreast of current and changing requirements as prescribed by all applicable regulating bodies and make sure the Nursing Center has procedures in place to ensure compliance with current and changing requirements. The Quality/Compliance Manager must be familiar with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) requirements as they relate to Medicaid and Medicare Part A, and follow the Office of Inspector General (OIG) compliance program requirements for nursing facilities. Additionally, this position will regularly advise and receive direction from the organization’s General Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer concerning all regulatory compliance issues as they arise.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Job Duties
1. Compliance Program Management:
• Implement and oversee a skilled nursing quality/compliance program that includes: monitoring, auditing, reporting, leading the CSL quality/compliance committee and performing risk assessments as needed.
• Investigate complaints and areas of concern which have arisen out of ongoing monitoring and employee reporting.
2. Training:
• Identify training needs.
• Train appropriate staff as necessary to bring practices into compliance to meet current and changing regulations.
3. Lead Quality Assurance Committee and QAPI projects.
4. Create regular compliance reports for organizational stakeholders. Keep Administrator, VP of Senior Living and General
Counsel/Chief Compliance Officer apprised of concerns or issues as they arise.
5. Work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.
6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Christian Commitment: Strong personal faith in Christ, demonstrated in behavior and attitude.
2. Education: Associate degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent. Relevant work experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
3. Experience: A minimum of 3 years in a health care related field quality/compliance position.

• Familiar with or aptitude to become familiar with clinical software used in skilled nursing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
6. Other Considerations:
• A thorough understanding of all applicable Washington State and Federal laws specific to the operation of a skilled nursing facility.
• Must be organized and have interpersonal skills to effectively work well across the organization.
• Ability to work collaboratively with supervisor, coworkers and customers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the United States Department of Education or equivalent.
2. Experience: 5 or more years working in a skilled nursing facility with some experience in QA.
3. Licensure/Certification:
• L.P.N or R.N.
• Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC).
