MDS Nurse – $2,400.00 Signing Bonus

JOB OVERVIEW: Responsible for the timely, accurate, and comprehensive completion of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) and evaluating resources such as medical equipment, drug therapies, medical supplies, etc. to assure cost-effective utilization in the delivery of quality, compassionate care.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

1. Completes MDS for residents on Medicare A benefits.
2. Publishes MDS calendar and monitors all units for completion of MDS.
3. Publishes Medicare charting lists for all nursing units in the facility.
4. Responsible for tracking and submission of MDS to the State. Coordinates transmission with Medical Records.
5. Follows MDS Maximizer guidelines.
6. Participates in the resident care conferences as a member/leader of the interdisciplinary team as needed.

PREREQUISITES:
• Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Washington.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Successful completion of a graduate nurse residency program orientation or six months experience as a registered nurse.
• Able to communicate effectively in oral and written form in the English language.
• Ability to access information and communicate in an electronic environment including but not limited to the use of electronic medical records.
