The Transforming Age Corporate Human Resources and Payroll Team in Bellevue, WA is excited to share we’re looking for an experienced, detailed and customer service-oriented full-time HR & Payroll Specialist to join our team. This important role is responsible for general human resources duties supporting the corporate HR team, processing reports and analytics, and processing bi-weekly payrolls for employees in multiple states and locations. This position comes with a matrix style reporting structure and will report to two HR Managers and the Payroll Manager.

Primary responsibilities will include the following:

-Processing bi-weekly payroll across multiple states for hourly and salaried union and non-union employees
-Creating and managing analytics for human resources on both an ongoing and ad hoc basis, including conducting research, collecting data, building complex Excel reports, distributing and building explanations
-Assisting site managers, supervisors and team members as they interface with the HRIS and time keeping system, including time card approvals and maintenance (self-service)
-Reviewing and resolving payroll discrepancies and/or team member questions timely and accurately
-Completing pre-employment and onboarding steps for corporate team members, including background checks, education verifications, coordinating onboarding paperwork, and file creation
-Administrative human resources and payroll duties including maintaining team member personnel files, sending out mailers, creating documents, monitoring systems, coding invoices, etc.
-Monitoring recruiting and applicant tracking systems, troubleshooting systems, helping place job advertisements if needed, and assist with overall recruiting
-Processing and entering wage garnishments, child support orders and tax levies
-Completing employment verifications
-Assisting on projects, conducting research and providing details as needed (i.e. systems, tools, policies, laws, etc.)
-Ensuring accurate and timely record-keeping and management of payroll data
-Preparing supporting documentation and/or information for internal/external audits
-Creating management and analytical reports and perform research and special projects, as needed
-Performing Federal, State, and local regulatory reporting requirements
-Assisting on other general duties associated with payroll and human resources

-Hands on experience with Payroll processing in an online system. Experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Reporting highly preferred
-Strong Excel experience, as well as strong knowledge of Word and Outlook
-Demonstrated proficiency with payroll processing, data entry and spreadsheet analysis
-Highly meticulous, well organized, detail oriented and accurate
-Ability to manage multiple tasks, work independently, set priorities, solve problems, and make decisions and follow-through
-Strong logical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills and ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with all departments, residents, family members and team members in a team-oriented environment
-Professional and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Uses discretion in handling confidential information, incorporating all Federal, State and local privacy and confidentiality requirements
-Limited overnight travel may be occasionally required

Education/Equivalent Experience:

-2+ years of experience in human resources, preferably with experience in analytics, employee onboarding, project management, and recruiting
-2+ year of experience in processing payroll, preferably for a hourly staff in multiple states
-Bachelor’s degree preferred, however combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of degree
-Experience in Senior Living and/or Healthcare and not-for-profit experience a plus
