About Rockwood at Whitworth:
Acquired in 1999, this 8-acre park-like setting is located on the north side of Spokane and was formally known as Rockwood Hawthorne. In 2020, the name was changed to Rockwood at Whitworth as part of a complete renovation and because of Rockwood’s commitment to provide the best, most innovative senior living experience in the Inland Northwest. This name also is a nod to our unique relationship with Whitworth University. Palvella Glen is our Assisted Living and Memory Support building. Hawthorne Court includes independent homes and duplexes. Once the revitalization is complete, Rockwood at Whitworth will have another new building for Independent Living and a whole host of new amenities, dining, and fitness center.

Position summary:
The Health Care Services Director is a key leadership position responsible for directing the health care services of our assisted living and memory support care settings as well as supportive health care programs for our independent living residents. The Health Care Services Director will ensure all residents are treated with respect and dignity as well as manage the quality of their care. This is a hands-on position that requires frequent interaction with residents, their families, and team members. This full-time, highly visible position is responsible for maintaining our Company standards and ensuring that government regulations and applicable standards or practice for all health care residents are met. The Health Care Services Director will provide management and leadership for team members within the Health Care Services department, ensure legal and regulatory compliance, and manage the Health Care Services departmental operating budgets.

Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field
• 2-5 years experience in senior housing/health care management role
• Preferred: Registered Nurse License – Washington, current and in good standing
• CPR certification
• English language proficiency

Other Requirements:
• Must maintain CEU and other state requirements for the position, as applicable
• Must complete all required training per RRC standards (e.g., Relias and/or classroom training)
• Proficient computer skills with fluent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and EMR system
• Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills
• Detail oriented with the ability to multi-task

Physical Demands:
• Regularly required to talk, hear and comprehend
• This position is very visible and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching throughout the day
• May assist in pushing/pulling and lifting or moving objects up to 30 pounds
• Lifting and transferring residents over 50 pounds with assistance
• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
