Eldergrow brings nature indoors for residents living in senior living communities. We are looking for a passionate, organized and fun individual to be our Eldergrow Program Administrator (EPA) to manage our new Washington skilled care communities funded in partnership with Leading Age under a CMP grant through DSHS. This partnership is currently funded through the 2nd half of 2021. 

Job Summary:
The EPA will liaise between the participating Skilled Nursing communities, LeadingAge Washington, and Eldergrow to oversee program rollout, educator recruitment/oversight, community customer service, program engagement, garden maintenance, data collection and evaluations. 


Job Duties will include:
• Project management for program rollout across WA state 
• Event coordination and oversight
• Maintain excellent customer service and positive working relationships with participating senior communities
• Training and supporting of senior living community staff
• Publicize, promote and make presentations to both current and potential customers
• Recruiting/interviewing/training/supporting contractors (educators)
• Maintain (collect, analysis, create reports) and submit required data to Leading Age and the CMP grant staff 
• Provide necessary leadership to maintain and develop a viable program to include policy, procedure and record compliance, strategic planning and program tracking
o Oversee operations associated with program rollout and ongoing supply needs 
o Travel throughout WA state will be required approx. 25% of the time during first 5 months of garden installations (less travel once garden programs all installed). 
Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have bachelor’s degree; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in supervision (2+ years), project management (2+ years), marketing and public speaking required. Familiarity with Skilled Nursing environments, as well as experience with senior and disabled population ideal. Moderate gardening knowledge required – Strong gardening knowledge a plus! 

Certificates/Licenses: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, access to a dependable vehicle and the ability to drive. Must successfully pass background check applicable to position. 

Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to occasionally lift 45 lbs, push/pull a wheeled garden weighing approx. 400lbs, crawl, stoop, kneel, and able to stand for up to 2 hours at a time. Able to drive long distances across WA state.

• Computer/Technical Ability: working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Drive and CRM experience.

• Language Ability: ability to read, analyze, and interpret grant requirements and collected data; ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups.
• Problem Solving Ability: ability to identify and/or prevent problems before they occur; ability to formulate alternative solutions to problems when necessary; ability to transfer learning from past experiences to new experiences of similar nature.

• Supervisory Skills: ability to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Applicable supervisory responsibilities include: interviewing, training, and coaching contracted educators, reviewing performance, providing constructive feedback when necessary, addressing complaints and questions and resolving problems.

Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, salaried position $60,000 Benefits to include:
o Medical & Dental
o 10 days paid vacation per year (accrued – not to be used in first 3 months of employment)
o Remote work, approx 75% of the time
